GVik Begin The Girls Varsity Basketball Team started out the season in a big hurry by beginning a few weeks early. They placed 7th in the league. Dinah Bige- low made All-Conference Honorable mention. Karen Kinney and Sue Hoff- man were brought up in tournaments against Godwin. The team won 57-43 in a successful game. Then after advancing on to play Catholic Central, they lost 36-46. Jane Meyers was voted most valuable and Dinah Bieg- low most improved. Helms jumps high.

CkipsfrMtidfr This year the Boys Varsity Golf Team, under the new coaching of Mr. VanAllsburg, finished 5th in the Grandville Invitational. In the Class B Regional meet the Hawks fin- ished 3rd and in State Class B Meet finished tied for 9th. Outstanding golfer this year was Lloyd Fisher who finished 5th in the Grandville Invitational and 1st in Regionals. Also, Mike Volk was Honorable Mention All- Conference. Mike goes for a Hawk ' s birdie Mike studies his next shot.
