Finally on April 23, 15 stu- dents and Mr. Brown left from Kent County Airport for an exciting week in the nation ' s capital. Other events of the year included local and state politi- cal meetings. VotAStbj Club Athletically minded, the Varsity Club attended three sporting events: a Detroit Tiger baseball game, a Pistons basketball game, and the Golden Glove finals. The club gained financial assistance to the school by remodeling the weight room and presenting the school with a marble sign with the school ' s name on it. ' V wkToSk Toik Hawk Talk took on a new look this year, along with a few more students, when it became a formal class. Some improvements from previous editions were the use of a professional printing company, better organization, and a dedicated staff.
