Present Commanding Officer LCDR Lee A. Rauch. USN LCDR Lee A, Rauch, USN, a native of Jersey City, Neff' Jersey, attended Colgate .Uni- versity and was commissioned through the R.O.C. Program H1 August 1958. LCDR Rauch began his naval career on the USS MCCLELLAND QDE-75Olwhere he was Operations Officer and First Lieutenant. From July 1959 to August 1961, he served as Operations Officer on USS CAMP QDER-2513. At that time LCDR Rauch was released to inactive duty and remained in U.S. Naval Reserve until Sep- tember of 1963. From 1963 to 1965 he was assigned first to the precom- missioning detail and later as Combat information Center Of- ficer aboard the USS ANNAP- OLIS QAGMR-ll. In November, 1965 he was transferred tem- porarily to the USS MASSEY IDD-7783 while awaiting the convening date for U.S. Naval Destroyer School in Newport, Rhode lsland. Completing Destroyer School in July, 1966 he reported to the USS CHEVALIER QDD- S05i where he served as Opera- tions Officer and Navigator, ln March 1968, hQ relieved as lixecutive Officer and Navi- Eator aboard USS ROWAN CDD- mm. LCDR Rauch came to the ROGERS from Washington, D.C, where he was Assistant for Pro- Rrams to the Director, ASW and Strategic Warfare Development Division in OPNAV, LCDR Rauch's wife is the former Marianne Sinto of Rye, New York.
