lngton D C An actlylty of thls klnd had neyer been launched at Ludlowe before Special prlvllege for our class was granted w hen Ludlowe for the first tlme sent a student abroad for the summer on an exchange basxs Carla 'Vlarceau selected from our clas lnved ln Italy for two months The summer found Ludlowe ,lumors IH many places on school mlsslons Ed Reilly Art Nloore John Burke Karen Keatmg and Judy Hon ath rep resented Ludlowe at lNutmeg Boys State and Laurel Cxrls State at the Lnlverslty of Connectlcut Jay Howard one of ten delegates chosen from the state attended the 'Natlonal Student Councxl Conventlon ln TVIISSOUFI for a week On that last school day ln June ln 1953 we knew that when we returned to Roger Ludlowe ln September we would be Senlors That once far off goal was now w lthln a tw o month dlstance We had made lt' Now no one could boss us around We were busy at once wlth senlor 3CtlVl tles and this last year at Roger Ludlowe flew by We had antlclpated the fourth stage but when lt arrn ed lt was all too soon The school eemed a new place ln the fall of 1938 Clocks that uorlted were Installed ln every room A Publxc Address Sy stem was a much needed addztlon Comfortable new chalrs and de ks took the place of that cary ed up furnlture After some yr orous campalgnmg our cla s ofh cers were elected Jeff Mxlet led us wxth Sue Dever Lynn Horton and Janet Edwards as 3441 tants Some energetlc SCHIOIS attended the scrence nxght classes held at Andrew Warde for a fifteen week perlod They felt that the school day was suddenly too short for them to gam all the knowledge whlch they sought Lookmg back over our four years at Roger Ludlowe we reallze what wonderful opportumtles the school has offered us We managed to ht mto our schedule a lot of fun as well as hard work To each gomg on hls separate way we say S made' Our thanks to you Roger Ludlowe for what you have been to us Hlghllghts of thls memorable Senlor year are recorded on the followmg pages T A Twenty four happy links make az Daisy Cham . .
