Q m '40 THU What I am to be, I am now becoming. A F S A Plunged into a whirlpool of new, exciting, and often overwhelming activities and events, the entering freshman is little aware of the implications of his school motto. Throughout his sophomore and junior years, his mind is too full with thoughts of the sopho- more play, the Sweetheart Swing, Biology, United States History, the Thanksgiving games, and the Jun- ior Prom, to be concerned with what.Iies ahead. It is not until his senior year, with the realization that graduation is almost at hand, that he fully under- stands the import of the motto. Glancing over his high school career, he tries to recall those activities, in and out of the classroom, that have prepared him for the future. During this retrospective study, he suddenly becomes aware that he is a product of his school motto in action: What I am to be, I am now becoming. ffzvn K ' Ka. ,,,,,f..m-'fwfr ' ' r. 1 vw ' ' , A ,S,'l'Ey,fx-I - :r if W' ,Q r J v l ,Q 1,- .RP -f .
