1950 CLASS HISTORY 1954 1950 1951 The Class of 1954 began uts becomung on a memorably hot day un early September 1950 Try as he may everyone had trouble fundung the elevator whuch stopped at the eughth floor swummung pool Helpful Senuor Councul members servung as guudes seemed to thunk that the elevator un the west wung near the skatung runk would do as well A few of the braver members of the class funally located the pool but found ut drauned for the wunter Resugned to dus appountment all decuded theur swum could waut untul Sprung and buckled down to the year ahead The March electuon of class offucers showed that thus undustruous class wanted nothung but the best Myron Goldberg was elected presudent Andrew Thy berg vuce presudent Ann Molloy secretary and Marcua Johnson treasurer May found the Class of 1954 flauntung uts theatru cal endeavors un a zany talent show staged agaunst a salty nautucal background A sparklung musucal score carrued the show to success Who wull ever for get those mop happy saulors Dave Mott Duck Devore and Martun Vasas who brought the house down wuth theur rendutuon of There Is Nothung Luke a Dame? THREE MOP HAPPY SAILORS There ls Nothung Luke A Dame At the Frosh party the evenung of the Talent Show Freshmen proved that they also had a talent for hav ung a good tume Dancung games and refreshments provuded an entertaunung evenung Luke all freshman affaurs the party started off wuth a group of boys on one sude of the room and the gurls on the other The Dear Departed ' the freshman contrubutuon to the Freshman Sophomore plays placed on the way to stardom such potentual Lunts as Velvys Heskuss John Bergmark Jesse Campbell and Emuly Karabunos The auduence was blussfully unaware of such headaches as mussed cues dropped lunes and lost props Poor Jesse set the kutchen table three tumes that nught waut ung for Emuly to enter on cue Ann Molloy brought honor to the Freshman Class as the only gurl of the Class of 1954 to make varsuty basketball un her freshman year 1951 1952 Knowung all the angles and all the answers the Class of 1954 returned under the leadershup of the followung class offucers presudent Ann Molloy vuce presudent John Bergmark secretary Carol Bohman and treasurer Ruth Dakau to swung ummeduately unto the detauls of the sophomore talent show Poor harassed actors lost un a storm took refuge un a haunted house and expended theur energy un a forty munute talent show whuch uncluded everythung from murder to Mozart No wonder Carol Fruedberg murdered Tom Grant un cold blood wuth a butcher knufe February was an open season for Cupud hugh lughted by the annual Sweetheart Swung Valentunes hearts and cupuds wuth arrows danced through the halls weeks before the gala affaur Frannue Herold Class of 1952 was crowned Queen of the Swung by Mr Futts Ann Molloy represented the Class of 54 un the glamorous lune of attendants SWEETHEART SWING X A crownung un Cupud s court More honors came to thus famous class wuth the awardung of an F sweater to Ann Molloy who was also selected to represent the town as Red Feather Gurl of 1952 The Weak Spot was the class contrubutuon to the sophomore end of the Freshman Sophomore plays Steve Lax Joan Wunter and Carol Fruedberg exposed the creduluty of superstutuous people un thus three act comedy - II - ll - 1 , . 1 1 1 I ' ' 1 1 1 I 1 1 1 1 . . . - 1 1 1 1 1 ' - , . . , - 1 ' - 1 1 ' I 1 1 1 1 ' - 1 ' 1 . . . , . , . .
