DEDICATION Few men have the opportunity to. coach. footbalgL let alone grind out illustrious and distinguished coaching careers. Such .car...eers .call for. unlimited devotion to the laborieus demands of being a coach. Roger B-Iacon is fortunate to have such a man. who has struggled to. estab11ish.;himse.lf as a coach; From his first game in Hudson, Miehigan, to .his final victory over North College Hill, Bron Ba'cevich' has forged a reputation for himself as one 0f the nation's top fototball Coaches. But. rnbre important than Mr. BaCevich's accomplishments and feats ace the methods by which those accomplishments have been achieved. Un'les's a weII-disdplin'e'd aind' organ'izeidsystem i'siise'd, no such effort is possible. Throughout his forty-tihree years of coaching, Mr. Bace'vich has used the same scit'md method of cdaching. One of Mr IBacevichs greatest assets is his attitude Iowards the game and its relation to his players. After he won his 300th game in 1971 he remarked that the game had no special meaning for him and he was more concerned with seeing his piayers have the satisfaction of en ioying the; feeling of success This concern for his players over his Ivon- satisfaction is an important aspect that has made him ;a succ'essful coach. Another important tatait of. Mr. .Baceuich is his dedication to his work. not only as a coach but as a teacher. Mr. Baceyich has Icing stressed the importance of being devoted to the work. at hand. His desire to succeed has made him successful with himself and others; Perhaps Mr. 'Ba'cevich s rn'bst com'mar'IdirIg characteristic is his zealous devotion to God; Mr. Bacey'ich. has instilled dedication to God into the Roger Ba'co'n football program. His Unfailing religious faith makes him- a prime example of what Roger Bacon High School tries to instill - a dependence on- God In all aspects of life. The above traits serve no! OanIO make Mr Bacevich a success 'as a cdach b'ut e'ilso as a pe'rSOr-I. His ability to get along with other people is a fine credit to his character He not only lEifernCES' many people as a coach, but also provides an influential force to th'ose he meets outside his realm of coaching Now that he is ending. his career, we, the members of ihe T'R'IOUBADOUR Staff helfeVe it is. a fitting and deserving act to dedicate this yearbook to Mr. Bacevich. We' feel that Mr. Bacevichi deserves this recognition for the endless time and effort he has devoted to 'football, people, and- Roger Bacon High School. We honor him for his records, victories, and especially for his personality- and character We know that In the future he will be continualiy successful.
