Mr. Fenton oversees the students in his typing class. Accounting students learn how to use ledgers from Mr. McGee. Business courses at Roger Bacon are designed to pre- pare the student for the business world of today as well as college. The practi- cal value of these business courses is easily seen. The art course, however, is different because the practical uses of this course are limited. This course is designed to in- crease the Spartan's appreciation of all beauty. All of these courses com- plement each other in the transformation of the stu- dent to a mature adult. Mr. Meyer teaches the freshmen the basics of busi- IIESS. 1 4 1 The Roger Bacon Band is, Without doubt, one of the most active and ' accomplished student groups in the school. In addition to its fine per - formances during football season, the Band was featured at the Xavier Uni- 5 versity Catholic Music Festival as Well as our own Music-Art Festival. In addition to these performances the Spartan Band gave concerts at a num- ber of the girls' high schools in the DI area. These are only a few of the accomplishments of the best band in memory.
