BUNYARD In every school we have those in- dividuals who have through the years served the public faithfully and well. Since they are paid a salary they sel- dom are given thanks for this service. We have such a person in the Roff Public Schools in B. N. Bunyard who for the past twenty years has picked up your children in the morning and brought them safely home after school. He has driven approximately 200,000 miles with children of our district with- out a major accident. He has seniority as an employee of the Roff School sys- tem and probably over all the bus driv- ers in the county. The Roff Seniors are happy to dedi- cate the 1957 Tiger to B. N. Bunyard whose service has been of the best and who has put the interest and safety of his bus children first. All of our patrons should join the school administrators and children in saying 'well done to him and to wish him' many more years of fruitful service. 5 1 One of the outstanding undertakings ofour sen: 1 ior year has been to produce a book of memories, a n' collection of events, activities, and accomplishments si ' H a book of honor and satisfaction. - This year, with the help of a very enthusiastic , , and hard-working staff, to come, we may all look back Y ' to a year that was filled with cooperation and a win- ning spirit, a year that should recall all our high school ' career for many years to follow. X, .1 As editor, I wish to express the appreciation of the V - entire staff to the administration, faculty, and student ' V body for their many helps and encouragements to us. . X May THE TIGER always serve to remind youof our X happy high school days, and always signify thisjob as one ' of honest effort and stability. , - Editor-in-Chief Standing: lane. 5hi1'1eY- June, '1'Ul1Imem, Jaw. RA TIUN SUPERINTENDENPS MESSAGE Dear PBIIOII' I would like to say that we have tried to keep the interest of your child in mind in administering the best school possible. It has not been an easy task and we are sorry to say that some parents have not supported us in our effort To have a good school calls for close cooperation be- tween parents and school authorities. Our modern con- cepts of discipline are changing and certainly discipline in the home has changed. We as teachers and you as parents need to stop and take a long look in the direction we are going in this mat- terg for it certainly merits our serious consideration. Your chi1d's future happiness and success is involved. The purpose of any school is to develop in the child good moral habits, prin- ciples of living, in addition to academic learning if he is to live a profitable life in the future May we solicit your support in this matter and say that it has been our pleasure to serve you and your community in the years past. sincerely ,lun-.M ' , -Q us.. .... num-U... -L z ',,,.Q ...ss--,i ,,....-tu., 635 'r Paul Mccuray PRESIDENT BOARD OF EDUCATION A Yi of iq Q, Faber Craig K, pn Larsh VICE PRESIDENT CLERK Dave Davis MEMBER A. The teaching profession is growing every day in social prestige and economic opportunity. Teaching is the most fruitful of all the patriotic services. I've been so very busy for so long. I remember when the kiddies first came into high school. My but they thought they knew it all. One of my greatest worries was Jim and Phil's mischievousness. And how I did have to prod Jack, John, and James to get them to do their homework. I'd have to give Norma a little boost every so often, she was always dreaming of the days when Mrs. Clifton wouldn't have so h f muc or her to do. Rosalie fitted in quite well when she came to my little brood All th , CSC things make me sort of sentimental as I now see my job almost completed. when Jim finished school he had some difficulty deciding just what he would do. It took a good deal of convincing, but I finally persuaded him to settle down. He 's really very happy f h as a at er of five, and seems contented with his accounting job. Phil finished college and is doing quite well as a nuclear scientist I ue I d ' . g ss on t mind really that he and James have turned into such ladies' men. James is a famous rocket test pilot Norma is just about the best little homemaker I've seen She's very ha these d l- . PPY ays a though her twins do keep her pretty busy. Jack made his home in Roff as did Jolm. Jack is a mechanic and John owns a large farm. Rosalie is a well-known psychiatrist. She is very interested in her work and devotes all of her time to it, The years have been grand ones. I look back regretting nothing. The years ahead look very bright for all concerned, THE GUARDIAN ANGEL OF THE 1957 SENIOR CLASS This page is sponsored by W. W. PRICE INSURANCE, Roff, Oklahoma lV.1,3 'D ' x +6099 vis' X .
