In keeping with the schedule set by the Inter-Cllass Council, they planned only one dance for the year, the iipllllllllilll l'roni . This event was held on October 30 at Beach Gym. Shibley. freshmen The Freshman Class at its first meeting of the year elected Jack VValchi, president of the class, John Smith, vice-president, Bud Green, secretary, and Jim Sparks, treasurer. Near the beginning of the school year, they sponsored an assembly welcoming the seventh graders. Speeches were made by difterent mem- bers ofthe Freshman Class explaining the activ- ities ofthe different clubs to the seventh grade. Then on March 19, the gala event of the year, the Spring Swing, was given by the Freshman Class. The niusie was furnished by Horace TWE N TY-SIX
