Size was no obstacle for the women ' s gymnastics team who, under the leadership of Nancy Jones, began the season with only four members. These girls proved their capabilities well, while representing RMC in four meets during the year. The season got off to a fine start at the Casper Invitational where Rocky took second place as a team. Theresa Stroppel was outstanding, taking first place in every event. Colleen Kluver competed in vaulting and uneven parallel bars, Linda Cox in floor exercise and balance beam, Mary Casey in beam, floor exercise, and bars. All four girls placed well in this meet. Rocky hosted the next meet involving three other schools. Caster won the meet, but Mary Casey made a good showing with a first in floor ex- ercise and a second in balance beam.
