' Dean ' s Message All too swiftly the clays fly past, and the end of another college year has come, with its bitter-sweet memories and parting. As you look back over 1952-53, and then in the years to come recall the events and experiences of your college career, this is my prayer: not that there may be no sorrows or regrets to remember— that would be a vain prayer! Mensch, all zu menseh! (Human, all too human!)-but that in- creasingly you may see and sense a direction, a profounder meaning in life, growing out of the tears and joys, the disappointments and achievements, the fun and the rich fellowship of these days and years together on this lovely campus. , c . ri- J. S. PENNEPACKER, Dean

' Dedication Professor Clarence G. Manning has devoted fifty-two years of his life to the advancement of education. As a teacher and administrator he has proven himself to be keenly sensitive to the constant change and challenge in education and life. Because of his four years of service at Rocky Mountain College, because of his lively interest in youth and their problems, because of his concern for contemporary world affairs, we sincerely dedicate this annual to Professor C. G. Manning.

President ' s M sage The Yellowstone is a hail and farewell to those who leave us this June as graduates. We hail them as they step out from our midst with their allotment of college work honorably completed. We say farewell as they march off, each one to his special task-maybe to far-away places, maybe near at home. We trust that the task will be one in which each will render some service to mankind, for we do fondly hope that the spirit and atmosphere of our campus will lead all who tarry here to become imbued with the desire to serve their generation in a worthy and sacrificial manner. We want to be known through our graduates as a Service College. HERBERT HINES, President
