' Dedication Professor Clarence G. Manning has devoted fifty-two years of his life to the advancement of education. As a teacher and administrator he has proven himself to be keenly sensitive to the constant change and challenge in education and life. Because of his four years of service at Rocky Mountain College, because of his lively interest in youth and their problems, because of his concern for contemporary world affairs, we sincerely dedicate this annual to Professor C. G. Manning.

foreword Zhe Koad Ahead I placed another calendar Today upon the wall, And pondered on the coming year, And just what may befall In all the days and weeks and months Before the year has fled— I wondered why I cannot see The road that lies ahead. The days, like jig-saw puzzles, pass- Some happy, full of fun, Some full of sorrow and of pain; We take them as they come. We strive to put each in its place As through the year we tread. Sometimes, a hopeless puzzle seems The year that lies ahead. I look at the new calendar And wish that 1 might see What beyond tomorrow lies— What ' s waiting there for me. But Cod, in His far wiser way, Makes time a book unread, And we must walk in hope and faith The road that lies ahead. -Bv Olive W. Ridenour. Another year is gone. All that remains are myriads of memories and perhaps a few more creases in our grey matter. Like the creases, memories fade, no matter how important they seem at the time. It is our hope that this 1952-1953 YELLOWSTONE will serve as a giant camera that preserves the best and most precious moments spent at RMC. Without everyone ' s cooperation this yearbook would have been an impos- sibility. We want to thank everyone for their part in the YELLOWSTONE ' S success and to wish each of you many happy hours of reading and reminiscing.

' Dean ' s Message All too swiftly the clays fly past, and the end of another college year has come, with its bitter-sweet memories and parting. As you look back over 1952-53, and then in the years to come recall the events and experiences of your college career, this is my prayer: not that there may be no sorrows or regrets to remember— that would be a vain prayer! Mensch, all zu menseh! (Human, all too human!)-but that in- creasingly you may see and sense a direction, a profounder meaning in life, growing out of the tears and joys, the disappointments and achievements, the fun and the rich fellowship of these days and years together on this lovely campus. , c . ri- J. S. PENNEPACKER, Dean
