The real test of the day came when lunchtime rolled around, now short- ened to 45 minutes. A few realized quickly they'd never make it to Hardee's and back, so they decided instead of eating out, they'd eat in. But the most popular part of the new change in pace, everyone agreed, came at the end of the day. For instead of life be- ginning at 3:21, the final bell rang at 3:10.
