Science apartment The Science Department works to direct the student into scien- tific channels by the use of the scientific attitude. The modern world has caused the stress on science to increase. To meet the growing demands of the world around us, Rocky Mount Senior High School offers courses in biology, chemistry, and physics. Ad- vanced biology is offered to students wishing deeper study in that field. Lab work, lectures, and projects aid in arousing the student's interest. Adrianna Grant, Henry Strickland, and Stewart Smith experiment with the pulley, to learn the fundamentals of one of the six simple ma- chines.
