Senior Class History Gosh! Weren't we lucky to have a part in the NCSCT convention 'T lt was held at our own school. and we were so proud. The convention was clirnaxed by a big dance given in honor of the delegates. This was also the first year that our school became a member of The Southern Association of Student Founcils. From our class Jean Edwards and Bettie Ann Whitehurst represented our school for four days in Folnmbia. S. C. We were also honored by being chosen as hosts for the Southeastern District I Speak for Democracy Contest. Dan Duckworth, Tennessee's winner, spoke here and went on to become the National winner. Having the most outstanding athletic teams in a number of years. we were justly proud of Adam Maples. Jackie Williams. and Jackie Skinner. l-ioy. we had the tops! The Junior-Senior Prom seemed to be the sole topic on 6Ytfl'j'U1lQ'S lips. The sweat, patience, and work that went into that dance!
