This building was absolutely the last word in convenience and efficiency, three floors high and a handsome auditorium. No more would the students have to morch to the Baptist Church for their assembly progromse they had an auditorium of their own. Surely this school would fill the needs! And it did for twenty-five years, and then o drastic change was made, this central high wos to become the R. M. Wilson Junior High-named in honor of the beloved school superinten- dent who served so long and so well. 941' 1 -k,U,?lCq?G','- ' Q - -u..!,QJ N. ,, ' . ,,. .fv o. -Q! B is for Brains, and here are two who really have them. I'll say! George Knight taps Billy Colston on the first Honor Society tapping day. C stands for Christmas Tree -the first sign of the holiday ahead, And here are the girls who helped make this one the prettiest ever 'tis said! D is for Ditch Diggers, and these seem to be here to stay, For where they're working will be The finest gym in N, C. someday! E is for the Elite of our school Cinclud- ' ing our principal, Mr. Cy D. Here they take their oath to serve as the first -- officers of R. M. Senior High. F means Faithful Fans who support our teams with all their might, Here is an evidence of our school spirit on the first football night. G stands for Grass, and believe it or not, we finally have some. Hooray! Of course, there are just a select fewi' who help keep it cut and trimmed this way. 4,-4 mt H stands for the Horror that fills every senior when senior speech making day draws near. Vivian evidently didn't dread hers as much as most, for she's doing fine here. I means Interest, and our kids have plenty as is very obvious here As our enthusiastic cheerleaders lead us in a favorite cheer. J stands for the jingle of Money that comes to our student store. Here we buy paper, pencils, ink, and other articles galore. 7 Now it's very obvious that this rhyme must end, for we're running out of space. Of course 't would be fine if we could go through the alphabet, but of course that can't be the case. But don't des air there is more to come, We think you'll agree that we've covered our school in every way from A to Z! 1 P , and if you'll follow the pages carefully, geiafvl 74a amaze f SPRING OFFICERS Mr Earl Prnvott Advnsor Freddie Turnage President Bobby Patterson Vice Presxdent Betty Ivey Secretary Bally Colston Treasurer Je Zhu a 7254 FALL OFFICERS Jimmy Daughtrudge Presldent Yvonne Churchill Secretary Janet Spam Treasurer Freddle Turnage Vnce Presudent ! 1 0 ku 2 Zivjs 2 i WI 1 I IQ' R R f A K v ? , -mm gllllllfg? The different clubs of which she is a member have reaped much reward from her activity. Her record in Rocky Mount Senior is truly an enviable one. Endowed with a matur- ity beyond her years, Kay has an appealing personality that inspires confidence. Her many friends can testify to that. KIIHDIGDK EDDIE BOOTH Eddie Booth has not done anything startling in his high school career, but he has done much of the work that had to be done to make our school what it is. Because he is energetic, indus- trious, and efficient, he is usually found among the scenes of action-on the stage, presiding and performing, on the football field, in student organizations, and bringing out good results everywhere.
