As their project the Seniors adopted the sale of Christinas cards and stationery. Through the cooperation of the officers, teachers and memhers of the class 8256.81 was raised. Mary Alice Trevathan was top salesman: Miss Hirkhead's and Mrs. VanBuskirk's home rooms were tops in the home room fields, and Bolmhy Gorham, Thomas Pierce, Bruce Henry, Dee Wilkinson, Peggy Hedeepcth, Betty Sutton, Ruth Wiggins, Jo Ann O'Donnell and Margaret Frazier won honoralile mention. Near the end of the semester the Seniors liegan taking' the Kuder Test to help them in their vocational choices. With the start of the Second Semester the Seniors lregran a series of class meetings on the prohleins 1ll'lH211'l'l2lj.f6 and family life. Dr. K. Weeks spoke on the physical side of marriage: Reverend C. C. Camplwell, pastor of the First Christian Church, approached the subject from the spiritual angle, and the climax of the series came with the visit of Dr. Leland Wood, outstanding authority on Human Rela- tions. The series was well received hy the class. Near the end of school a number of committees were at work, planning for the various Commencement activities. Miss Alexander graciously consented to di- rect the Senior Play, Love Is too Much Trouble, and a packed house witnessed this hilarious comedy of college life. May 24 found the class having' the time of their lives on 'Senior Day. For the first time since the institution of this special event, a full day's prog'ram was planned heginning with a spe- cial hreakfast at the Ricks Hotel, continuing with a talent program in the auditorium, and climaxed hy ai weiner roast given lvy the P. T. S. A., followed hy a movie as ,quests of the Center Theater. After a full and happy year the Seniors look forward to 'tGraduation 1950 as a splendid climax tu their high school careers.
