Needing absolute quietude for our professions we had bought a small island off the Varolina Coast seting in it the sanctuary we needed Ho much. The real estate agent had assured us that the island was uninhabited-at least to his knowledgeg so upon tirst sight we bought it! I was strolling along the beach on this. particlar day, and coming upon a seemingly deserted Coast Guard Station, I decided to investigate. I had taken only a step or two up the winding stairs when I was surprised by a quiet voice from above. And just what are you doing in my house may I ask? I looked up and found myself gazing into keen brown eyes staring at me with an intense ferocity. I was told that no one lived here. I replied. I'm sorry I intruded.
