1984-85 The Year of Transition In 955 Rocky Gap High School was completed and during the first semester of the 1955 56 school year, students entered the building for the first time Now, thirty years later, the building is in transition. Although students still go to it, it is being given a massive face lift. Dust has filed the air, and the sound. construction have daunted even the most dedicated teachers. New additions to the school have appeared: larger rooms for business and science classes, a larger office new ceilings for all the classrooms at the front of the building, including the lunchroom: new flooring tile, and an entirely new science lab. Rocky Gap High, like a living organism, continues its growth, striving to keep up with the times and continuously provide a solid education to all of its students
