He is personable and highly visible as his presence is felt during the chang- ing of classes and during lunch break. As an ap- proachable and concerned individual in the present and future well being of the students, he opens his door for the discussion of any problem — large or small. Quick to act to the immediacy of any situation, he has the ability to anticipate trouble” and trouble situa- tions. ” He is benevolent to students, often loaning them lunch money, transporting sick students, or catering to their every need. This energetic and unselfish in- dividual provides many school activities for the students' enjoyment. Furthermore, he is an avid sup- porter of all Rocky Gap School athletic teams and pro- udly watches as teams gain respect for their school. He has gained the respect of all for his integrity. Perhaps his major contribution to the education of the students at Rocky Gap Combined School is his strong advocacy of the need for a disciplined student body as the appropriate atmosphere for learning. We. the 1983 yearbook staff, proudly dedicate this edition of the ROGAHI to Mr. Jack G. Kaylor, Prin- cipal of Rocky Gap Combined School. Although students still go to it, it is being given a massive face lift. Dust has filed the air, and the sound. construction have daunted even the most dedicated teachers. New additions to the school have appeared: larger rooms for business and science classes, a larger office new ceilings for all the classrooms at the front of the building, including the lunchroom: new flooring tile, and an entirely new science lab. Rocky Gap High, like a living organism, continues its growth, striving to keep up with the times and continuously provide a solid education to all of its students For Rocky Gap High School Special Honor JOEL PATRICK THORNTON DENNIS MICHAEL THOMPSON,JR HARRY ZELMER MILLIRONSJR Recipient of an Air Force and a Navy- Marine Corps Scholarship valued at S40,000.
