The high school class who had the most participation was the Seniors with 74.4 per cent. The elemen- tary class who had the most par- ticipation was Mrs. Thornton's fifth grade. Prom 1983 Prom Queen and King Sherry Dailey and Scott Moses On April 30, the Dig Blue Lounge was the site of the 1963 Junior-Senior Prom. The Lounge was colorfully decorated in the Prom colors, mint green and black. This year's theme was Don't Look Dock. Music was provided by Q-99. The Prom King and Queen, chosen by the Junior Class, were Scott Moses and Sherry Dailey. 41 1983 Miss Rocky Gap On November 12, 1963, the annual Miss Rocky Gap was held. As soon as the pianist struck the first key, the stage was set for a night of excite- ment. As the young ladles took their places, the shining moment drew closer. Finally, the win- ners were announced: Second Runner-up, Mary Cahill; First Runner-up. Regina Hall; Miss Rocky Gap. Lisa Willis. Our gym was transformed into o colorful Halloween motif. The gym decorations were designed and arranged by the Homeroom Mothers. The money from the booths and from the contestants' cans yielded a total of S5.529.54, which was divided among the PTA. Homeroom Mothers, ond the school. The newly crowned king and queen. January 9, the Junior and Senior classes met to select three candidates each for the Homecoming Court. They in turn selected their escorts. On Thursday. January 12, the high school voted by secret ballot for one of the Homecoming Candidates. On Friday night during half rime of the J.V. Game with Blond High School, the Homecom- ing Court was presented by Jon Andrews, Master of Ceremonies. The excitement mounted while the crowd awaited the announcement of the winner. Alice Neal was crowned Homecoming Queen.
