SCHOOL BUILDING AGRICULTURE BUILDING FOUNDATION of NEW BUILDING ROCKY GAP HIGH SCHOOL Rocky Gap, Virginia THIRD EDITION IN MEMORIAM V Ronnle Ratliff, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ratliff, passed suddenly from our midst July 18, 1954. itonniewasa faithful member of the Bas- tian Union Church. At school, he was a mem- ber of the Freshman class. Science Club, F.F.A., S.C.A. and 4-H Clubs. His loyal service and gracious manner gained him many friends by whom he was ad- mired and respected. Our loss in his passing is felt very keenly. It will be difficult to fill his place in our fellowship. To a man wnose actions constantly affirm his deeply felt prlnciples;to a man who uses his words as he uses his life--with clarity and with power; a friend of the years; a messenger of cheer, hope, and good will; an exponent of trust and best in friendship, in loyalty, in citizenship, in business, in honor and in lntegrity;a defender of the highest Ideals and traditionsof Bland County Schools; to Mr. Raymond F. Stowers, we dedicate the 1955 ROGAHI. To the students of Rocky Gap High School Congratulations to the Rogahi Staff, their sponsor and to the many individuals who have made contributions toward this project. Stu- dents will derive much pleasure from the '55 ROGAHI. It is said that adversity is the test of strong men. If this be true, the Class of 1955 will be tested. As you leave this school and the sin- cere interest and guidance of the faculty, may those things we have tried to teach you about being a worthwhile citizen in a democratic society be a stabilizing influence in your daily lives. May you forever cherish the happy mem- ories of your high school days. Iwishto express my sincere thanks and appreciation for your generous cooperation during this school year. Sincerely Garland L.
