Snyder, along with valedictorian Ja nn Tobias, Salutatorian Joan Shumaker, Class Presidlnt Amy Walters, and Student Council President Jill Love. Diane Gary and Dennis Nicklow provided a musical selection after Mr. Nixdorf, Mr. Dull, and Dr. Mathias presented the class with their diplomas. They topped their goal of 310,000.00 with a total of 310,700.00. The seniors used the profits from the sales to pay for their senior trip and for various Commence- ment expenses. The high salesman was Nick Wohlfarth, who sold 50 subscriptions, totaling 3502.20. The second highest salesman was Cheri Hauger, who sold a total of 51 subscriptions, totaling 3436.17 . 1. The first day was spent in Busch Gardens. Here they had an opportunity to go on amusement park rides, see shows, and savor the atmosphere of the Old Country. On Monday the seniors visited Colonial Williamsburg and experienced America's colonial past. The group had many memorable experiences. Who will ever forget Diane Gary's flying suitcase? And how could anyone not remember the thrill of riding on the Loch Ness Monster? Truly the senior trip will never be forgotten by the class of 1980. 1. Carol Cane and Melanie Ansell pause before .9 riding down the Flume. Q 2. All right, we know we look tired. So would you if you walked around Busch Gardens for four hours! think Dennis Nicklow and John Fox. . 3. The Loch Ness Monster is one of Busch Gar- l den's most famous attractions. W ? Qemzofv eofvComestaafO0ose The class of 1980 was a class of individuals. However, on several occasions the class pulled together as a group to achieve a goal. Together the class decided to not only reach their maga- zine sale goal, but also to pass it. The class members gave blood, they assembled the rocket. Just as each hailstone is separate and individual, so was each senior. And just as the hailstones together create a lovely picture, so did the members of the class of 1980 - together. 180 OX J Za . af fl' 5' .V -V-5n5,,L ,i ,fig .59 25: Ng ,KV 'K n jf.
