Ddiiiiwf Clampl The Rockwall Varsity Tennis team continued its vinning ways throughout the 1987-88 season. For the hird consecutive year TEAM Rockwall won the Dis- rict Team Tennis Championship and continued on o the semi-finals of the Regional Championship be- ore being eliminated by a State Finalist. In the Spring ndividual Tennis season the doubles team of Dito vIcNutt and Shane Johnson won the District Doubles fhampionship without losing a set. Andy Reece was iwarded the Greg Stanart 'Tighting Spirit Award for his outstanding effort in his final singles match. The most improved player during season play was without a doubt Chris Venner. The team selection for most valuable male and female players during the '87- ,88 seasons were Dito McNutt and Allison Chwerchak. Andy Reece was selected as the player most representing the Fighting Spirit award and Chris Venner received the coach's award as the most im- proved player during the season. Tennis

A New Loot Aw ew voleybwzz The girls volleyball team began their season with two new coaches. In a short time they had to learn new ideas, strat- egies. and a new outlook for girls ath- letics. The girls accomplished this with great enthusiasm, which made for an exciting season. The season proved to be a tough one but the girls worked hard and fought for every point. The season came to an end with a great deal of improvement by the girls and a won- derful outlook for next year. Three girls received All-District honors: First Team - Kristy Davidson Csr.J, Second Team - Traci Gillen Csr.j, and Annette Crawford Csrfl. I0 V ll' 'b ll
