A1 Dear Students: In my readings the other day I ran across the following: This is not a day of triumphg it is a day of dedication. Here muster, not the forces of party, but the forces of humanity, Men's hearts wait upon us: men's lives hang in the balanceg men's hopes call upon us to say what we will do, Who shall live up to the great trust? Who dares fail to try? I summon all honest men, all patriotic, all forward- looking men, to my side. God helping me, Iwill not fail them, if they will but counsel and sustain me! These words were spoken by Woodrow Wilson in his first inaugural address. Although it has been a number of years since the speech was made, the same declaration of faith in America should ever be on our hearts and lips. Let us always endeavor to make a better community, state and nation through our everyday activities. Our greatest grudge game of the year, we found Plano tough and well coached as usual. Plano drew first blood early in the first quarter and had a 7-0 lead. This seemed to fire Rockwall and the Jackets came roaring back. Cade scored first. A J. Anderson was good for the 2 points. With fine deception, Jackie went all the way from P1ano's 34. Nedt was Cade from the 3 yd. marker and the half ended with Rockwall leading 22-7. In the third quarter, J. Anderson carried 47 yards for the TD with Cade kicking the extra point. Rockwall scored next on a pass from Cade to B. Anderson. Barnes kicked the extra point. THe final TD was a 90 yd. run by G. Anderson with a 2-pointer fol- lowing.
