growth opportunity School may provide the first challenge in a persons life. An individual may be challenged in many ways. Challenges may arise in athletics, scholastics, or extracurricular activities. The ever present challenge to be the best may cause an individual to go beyond what is expected of him. Enrolling in harder classes and striving to excel in them is a perfect example of challenge. Building a robot in advanced physics class is another example. Another challenge is available to Seniors. Some of them chose to take Senior Composition for college credit. This gives those students a headstart in preparing for college. Challenge is vital to a student's daily development. Without challenge no progress is made.

Band practice Staying past 10:00 for late night rehearsal Scoring the winning basket Running for a long touchdown Hitting a last second free throw Dozing in study hall Surviving trips on the fan bus Working late on yearbook layouts before a deadline Going to LaTour with Modern Language Club Getting out of class without a pass Homeroom or report card day Finding a table at lunch Canned Tomatoes
