School Awards A New School Evenfl The fir51 annual School Awards day was held Tuesday, May 17th in the High School Gymnasium with The entire Junior and Senior High School attending. The program was organized by several teachers and Mrs. Mary Gregg who represented the parents. Awards given included. Departmental and Special Awards. Also honored were people on the Regular and Distinguished Honor Rolle Sfudents with perfect attendance and straight A's in one or more of their subjects were also awarded. With modifications and expansions for next year, we hope to have another successful School Awards day at Rockville High.

Each year 0 various amount of studenfs are selected for This honor based on Character, Scholarship, Leadership, and Service. This year Ten Sophmores, Three Juniors, and one Senior were chosen. The sTory cenTered around 0 small Train depoT in 0 Town called Tombigbee. The cost was made up of many differenT Types of people Thrown Together due To a Train derail. As The play progressed The chorocTers submerged. Some of The more memorable chorocTers were Mike MorieTTcr as Silos Dobbins, and Tim Simic cs Willie Woodson, AT The end of The second ocT Mrs. VandervenTer discovered ThoT her pearls were gone and immedioTer blamed Mrs. Guorino, The Third ad was comprised of a Trial which was To find The guilTy porTy. Thanks To The brillonce of The low sTudenT Bill Lindsay, Mrs. Guorino was found innocenT by The Jury. This play was direcTed by Mrs STeve Jones. ProcTices were held during The monTh of April.
