This year's tennis team showed a lot of improvement and were very competitive, ' Coach Bliss reported. Hugh School Library SENIOR ANNE KENLAY 31 ROCkV'He' ' d'ana Rm THE GAME The fired up ROX team play- ed their best game of the season as they defeated, for the first time in five years, arch rival Turkey Run 34 to 20. Senior, quarterback Mike Rutherford led the offense with 106 yards rushing and 211 yards passing. The Rox scoring came from a 4 yard Touchdown Run by Ruther- ford, a 73 yard Touchdown Pass to Dwayne Berry from Rutherford, a 72 yard Touchdown Pass to Davies from Rutherford, and a 1 yard Touchdown Run by Doug Berry. The PAT were scored on Passes from Rutherford to Davies and Bill Sears. The boys incentive for the game came from their Love for their teammates, school, and community. These ef- forts helped to finance many school projects including the tennis court lights, a fan bus and the football trainers. They also built the stand for the video tape equipment in the bleachers. f F. F. A. members also partici- pate in leadership contests, lifestock, dairy and soil judging. G.A.A. SKATING PARTY Besides the skating party at the SKATAWA, other after-school activities include bowling and swimming get-togethers. Some changes expected are new uniforms, high jumps, and pole vault pits.
