Queen Mary Malone reigned with her attendants Tisha Poling and Nellie Banta midst the Paradise Isle setting of palm trees and tropical designed murals. Azur blue and silver were carried out in the decorations and refreshments. Highlight of the evening was the crowning of the queen by Junior Class President, Bill Snodgrass. 5 , 4 f .f ? THE YEAR THAT WAS', Student Parking Lot With the opening of school in Fall 1964, the new parking lot for students' cars was opened. Situated north of the school the parking area was the cause of frequent student complaints. CPO s s ib ly for some the long trek from car to school was longer than home to schoo1!D How- ever the lo c ation had been decided on due to economy in filling in that area instead of one closer to the building. Two points are certain--greater safety was assured and improvement in s c hool looks re- sulted in the removal of cars from the street. 70 Minute Period It was decided to dispense with Home Room Periods at the start of the second semester. The 15 minutes was added to the 4th hour class period Monday through Thursday. Friday's time was given to club meetings. 'C1ubs were the MUST and this year saw the tryout of many new organiza- tions. Some of us weary of the de- manding schedule, are thankful that the close of our high school days is here. But whether it is with quickened step or with reluctant tread that we leave, we are, never- theless, greatful to those who have directed us to- ward this great event. For those who helped in the compiling of this book of memories--the faculty, the staff, our advertisers and contributors--to all go our deepest appreciation. Class of 1965 3 E i .
