Much to our surprise we were eorifroutedwyl change in the usual programs. It seemed that many of out long lost fdetidslof- the h had come to be established actors and actreSses. Since it was still early in the evening we caught the last few minutes of the DbEieG Show. A peculiar incident had occurred. A1an Maynatd Stanley. who usually sphn-is V fahzf'. 7 male sex, tebeled when he discovered that he and Dobie Doyne were secretly inviavewithr 77' the same girl. After enduring this juvenile sequence for as long as we could, we Veteramjffg favor of seeing something more dramatic. We were sorry to see that Playhouse 45 twhich is only half as dramatic as Plazhouse-goy 5 ., I. h had been canceled that night for a special. educational broadcast of the Enigmatic Eighties'l; , .- featuring the Tallahassee Tassell Tosser, Judy Bloomer, and her Tassel Tossing Troupe - -De'- lotes Hall, Marlene Cooper. Beverly Kelley. and Phyllis Britten. After viewing this fox.- an hour we certainly agreed that this was educational. Then we heard a Word from the sponsor: Does she or doesn't shenn Only Verla's Beauty? a Salon knows for sure. She probably doesJ . Next we enjoyed the musical portion of the evening furnished by the John Welk Dealt ' , Show. where Hot Lips Harney. the bubbling bugle blower, made an appmati-f C manist, Miss Barbara McKinney. This. however, didn't stop the champagne lady. Mary Alice Remington, from making her own special appearance. It seemed that she had been hi the champagne again . . . . Next we watched the Person to Person commentator. Edward R. Coleman. interviewM t the home of the famous David Spencer Tracy. who was rehearsing a love scene withhis lea lady, Anne Hartman. The CBS Report for the evening was Championspf the Year. The champions wet as follows: Jim Whitaker World's Fastest Knitter twith or without needlest 7 Gil Carlyle Lover of the Year tVeni, Vidi. Both teams were assisted by the All American Water Boy, Co-ordination Crandell. We immensely enjoyed the half time entertainment of Golden Boy Blackmore. who scampered onto the field wearing a very scimpy gold-sequined pair of trunks. His baton proteges, Sharon Wright. Diana Pettine. Linda Jones, and Beverly Wittenmyer stepped lightly as they followed their master. We then tuned to the popular dance party. Russian Bandstand. where the winners of two dance contests were presented. The lucky winners were Russell Greene and Pat Mitchell doing the Hully Gully Twist and Don Gardner and Linda Smith doing the Calypso. The mos: amusing program was called Candid Camera Strikes by Helicopter. The pilot. Le- toy Boyd. first went to Reno, where Dice Satterfield, Snake Eyes Wimmer. and Judy Rock- feller Crosley were betting their cool millions on the Roulette wheel. After viewing many interesting sights from the air. we flew over Leadville. Nevada. to sur- vey the ruins of the laboratory of the once-famous physicist, Rebecca Newsom, who with her 50 foot slide rule has tried to prove that the aspirin enters the stomach in soft. tiny flakes. Unfortu- nately. the aspirin was whole when it entered her ill-fated stomach and she was blown to bits. The finale of the evening was a most beautiful song sung by Misses Laura Lee Perry and Nancy Hamilton. This particular song. made famous by the class of '61 was Don't Drink it All - - - - Save Some for Me. Class Will Continued 1. Jerry Johnson.
