Prophecy Mv name is A. TOM. I am an ATOM of dust. I have been blown a- round the world ng 1835 than 473 times Ironically enough the last few times around, I have seen all the members of the class of '55 in their different occupations and misfortunes, this You must understand has all taken place over a period of years as I traveled at mY 191 sure Because some of the things I have seen are so surprislng, I want to let you in on them fromfan ATOMized view For instance I saw Pearl Boyd receiving the checkered flag at the Indianapolis Speedway, as the first woman to win the 500 mile speedway race She received the winners kiss from the body builder, Ronnie Stutler While in Indianapolis, I passed through the state house, and there I saw Governor David Zehr delivering his annual mes sage to the legislature Upon leaving the capitol, I arrived at some length near Evans ville where I could hear the ranting and raving of a w1ld woman whom I finally recognized as Judy Humphrey I was told she lost her mind after her 13th divorce I also learned that, strangely enough Mary Jane Thompson was warden here On down South I saw Wanda's world famous Dye Fu eral Home I another look, I found Rev Danny Merrell officiating at the funeral The widow of the deceased Mary Sue Shade, came weeping from the funeral carrving a brief case full of check books, oil stocks, and bonds by the million dollars worth My last visit in Kentucky was spent at the Kentucky Derby I glanced at the program and who's name should I find there but that famous Jockev, Donnie Noblitt, rlding the f1rey horse named John Tolin in honor of the noted Texas oil well mill1ona1re Blow1ng out over the gulf, and on down into South America, I saw a virl dancing on the sand and coming closer, realized it to be Nancy Gaines, accompanied by Kelly Price on the drums These two charac ters had to leave the country after trying unsuccessfully to revise the Mambo and the Rumba M1ke Cummings, swinging through the trees with the rest of the ba boons He wrote a farewell letter to the worl stating that he was in complete disagreement w1th the statement, 'Don't be a Monkey' A large tropical storm then changed my course in the direction of Enrland The first thing I knew, I was seated on the tea tray of the queen of England herself Cynthia Snowden Slurpinv tea with her was Larrv Thomas, Prime Mlnister of England They were being enter tained by three royal dancers, Gayla Gerrish, Barbara Hall, and Karen Jones, who were danc1ng the 'Dance of the Seven Veils' These ve1ls, incidently, were being collected bv Dean Matthews, who always accom panied them just to pick up the veils As I left England, I decided to take a tour of the continent One of my first stops was Rome where the newspapers were full of the recent illness of the Italian Premier, James William Graves His con d1ti0n was reported, by his three world famous doctors, Bill Canter, Fugene White, and Richard Whitesell, as grave These physic1ans re ceived their degrees from the veterinarian diV1Si0n of Michigan State College, Lanclng, Yichlgan, United States of America, North American Continent, Western Hemisphere, World Compllments of MARTIN S CLEANERS 0 1 1 ' n I , . . . 1 Farther on through the jungle, I saw the well-known explorer, O . Prophecy when weather again permitted flying, I flew to Constantinople where I noticed top billing was given to two famous opera stars, Joan Murphy and J1m Swaim Shortlv after I had found a seat on the bald head of the heroic war general, Von James Lee, the curtain went up and the performance began of these two stars General Lee applauded w1ldlv because the two stars had been h1s former classmates flnci dentlv Peneral Lee is deaf I After the performance I left Constantinople and traversed to Hong Kong Here Professor Tames Fu Yung Deputy was studying the great savings of Confucius, accompanied by his noble assistant, Wanda Kelsheimer I then left China and went to its neighboring country Japan I saw bills scattered about the streets proclaiming the wrestling match of two women, Nancy Moore and Barbara Mitchell Mitchell was favored 20 to 1 but she lost her crown to Hefty Moore I was so tired by now that when I left the theatre, I could do nothing but look for a place to rest This was found upon the l inch bifocals of Max Morgan, a silkworm farmer, who was boarding a plane for the states, followed by his private secretarles, Sue Freeman and Phvllis Lane These secretaries are the best secretaries in the secre tarial union and they stated confidentually to their boss that they enjoved being secretaries to him better than belng secretarles to any bodv else The plane landed at Reno and I left Max at the airport Whlle blowing down the streets, I noticed the newspapers were filled with the storv of I didn't prise I found the widely publicized divorce case of Ernie Martin and like Reno so I ventured to Las Vegas where to my sur Jim Rose and Toe Seip, rn managers of the Golden Nugget Th1s was all hed been the very surprlsing to me, because only a year before they Co Arch Bishops of Canterbury The magnificent blues singer Ioan Seward, worked for them in their establishment Being a nice little ATOM I left this crude environment for more wholesome atmosphere Crossing Iowa I floated over the twin clties of Gwensburg and Martinsville which oddly enough were named after Fwen Martln the nuclear physicist I was getting pretty hungry by this time, so I stopped at a Taysty Freeze in the small town of Rockville in Indiana and who should be serving but Miss Toan Cox I'll tell you, she served the tastlest taystee freeze that was ever frozen tastily Joan told me that Dorothy Neet, her old committed suicide because the government had for changing the face of the Statue of Liberty I must leave you now because I have just classmate, had recently just rejected her plan to that of her own received word that Gwen Martin, the nuclear physicist is splitting more ATOMS, some of which blame her for breaking up 'That Old Gang of Mine' This concludes my report of the class of '55' 3157166 slncerely, A TOM the ATOM Cbmpmnunsof BRANSONINSURANCE AGENCY IHNHiH.BANTA , r , o , 0 Betty Smith.
