The Junior and Senior Prom came in May. Every night for two weeks before we cut and wound crepe paper with which to enclose the dance floor we had created in the new gymnasium. Our last year finally came. Even though we were glad to see LL come, I think most 6k us had secretly dreaded it. It was the climax of our school life. It was the big year. We had the best football team we had had in years. The night of Homecoming we had a parade three blocks long. We entered a float in the parade which was lucky enough to win first. When we won the Wabash Valley, we celebrated for two days. A parade of cars Fridav night and a bonfire, snake-dance, and a weiner roast on Saturday night were the high-lites of this event. The night of the Halloween Festival was one of the coldest nights of the year. Despite the cold we made more money than we ever had heretofore. After the festival, we went out to Dick Spaw's sale barn for a party with the left- over cokes and pies. Only nine graduated that had started previously in the first grade. These are Lucille Bohn, Eileen Burks, Nancy Clary, Dick Faust, Phyllis Hudson, Phyl- lis Martin, Jerry McMillin, Dick Spaw, John Tofaute, and Louise Wood. Most of us have our favorite memories. The crazy things the gang did and the parties we had. To each of us it means something different. I wonder what my classmates will be like and what they will be doing in the years to come as they happen to glance over the annual or remember 018 R.H.S. .
