Memories JUNIOR CLASS HIswmv President...................Joan Britton Vice-President...........Carleton Butler Secretary...................Car1 Seybold Treasurer.....................Bob Jessup Three down and one to go, High school years, that is- Three years of work, Three years of pleasure- Next year, I think, Is one for good measure. In order to accomplish all that we found to be necessary, we thoughtfully elected our class officers, who have led us through this year. The junior class has worked very hard this year selling at ballgames, dur- ing the noon hour, and at a stand at the Fall Festival. With the help of other classes we sold at our stand during the Parke County Tourney and donated the proceeds to the gym. Even while we were hurriedly trying to make money, some were capable of en- tering contests and competing in athletic affairs. But as the saying 7065; All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, and to eliminate all chances sf becom- ing dull, we held a hayride and weiner roast at Carleton Butler's home, In keeping with the tradition the junior class again won first prize on the float in the Homecoming Parade. The theme was, Break the Record. 0f the thirty-seven members of the junior class mine are members of the band, fifteen are in chorus, seventeen are in Y-Teens, and four in Hi-Ya In the National Honor Society we have six members from the junior class. Bob Jessup and Barbara Hamilton were elected to represent the junior class on the Youth Center Council. The annual Junior and Senior Prom was held at the Rockville 1ym on May 19, 1950. Bill Riedel's band provided the music. The junior class wishes to thank Mr. Adams, our class sponsor, for helping us through the school year. ' -2h-
