I The first meeting of the Future Teachers of America was held under the supervi- sion of Mr. Robbins. At that time Maynard Graffam was elected president. No other officers have been chosen. During the year several new members were received into the club. A schedule for practice teaching was set up which gave each member a special time to act as a student teacher in the lower grades. We wish to thank Miss Graffam, Mrs. Barter, and Mrs. Farmer for their cooperation and helpful consideration. Helen Leland '57 R .il-.. The Library Club held its first meeting in September and the following officers were elected: President-Shirlene Heathg Vice-President-Jean Fryeg Secretary-Treas- urer- Sara Simonton. There were nine members who entered the club this year. During the year all members have acted as student librarians. The following officers were elected: President-Shirlene Heath, Vice-President-David Pound, Secre- tary-Treasurer-Greta Norbeck, Linda Spear. Our first duty of the year was the task of putting on a program and serving refreshments for the school's Christmas celebration held Dec. 14. We also supervised and put on a Sports Night at the gym on March 7. We hope to complete the year by having some school dances in the near future. S. Heath '57 .lil R - .. At the first Dramatic Club meeting the following officers were elected: President- Stuart Farnham, Vice-President-Shirlene Heathg Secretary-Treasurer-Helen Leland. This year, at the Rockport Town Hall on December 14, we presented four one-act plays, one given by each class, with the winner representing the school at the M. V. L. contest in March.
