THE TATLER Social Activities THE STUDENT COUNLII The Student Councll of 1952 53 as an dCt1V8 group was practically non existent The first meetlng was held September 23 1952 at which time the following offlcers were elected President Marym Welt Vice President David McPheters Secretarv Treasurer Joan Norwood Our first offlclal duty of the year was to arrange a concert of the school band to be presented during act1v1tv perlod December Sth President Welt gave a short but adequate speech on that memorable occaslon The next offlcium was the task of putting together 1 program and gfltherlng the eats for the school s Christmas celebration held December 19th Hmy mg nother further to accomplish we settled bzck to await the commg year s election of officers Richard Cash 54 THE LIBRARY CLUB The first meetmg of the L1brarv Club this y eai was held September 17 1952 The followlng officers were elected Pzcszdenf Marvin Welt Vue Pleszdem' Alden Davis T1 easm ev W1ll1am Speai The first business taken up was the 1H1t1'1tlOH of the following new members into the Club DIHHZ Anderson Herbeit Annls Candace Alexan der Harold Crockett Arlene Grey Teddy Lovegoy Roland Nutt Howard Simonton Pat Upham Pat Wentworth After the initiation refreshments were served and everyone had a good time We continued to have a large assortment of magazines and books this year All students enjoyed belng a llbrarlan and IH the futuie we hope they will continue to enyov and appreciate the privileges of having a fine library Bernlece Crey 54 R SPORTS NIGHT On April third we held our third annual Spolts Night under the supervision of lVIr Frederick P Sutherland and Principal Frederick Rich ards Mr Judkins was not present this year but we hope he will be able to come next vear The first ey ent on the program was the Fleshm-in Grammar School game The Freshmen won bv a score of 34 11 Both teams did a fine Job 1 O I O I Y 1 . u I . i .
