6 If orqef What do I owe my school? How can we begm to answer th1s question? As we thunk through the years that we have spent an school, we new all our accomplnshments, espernences, socnal relatxons, mental achxevements, and of course our fanlures and dxsappomtments I bnef we shall be m debt for the rest of our ln es to our school The greatest sorrow ns that we faxled to take the full adsantage of the opportunmes that were la1d before us by our teachers and parents If we could have seen to the fullest extent the nmpor tance of these chances at the time they occurred, our problems would have been lxghtened The goal we must strxve for ns to be able to recogmze the OPPOFCUHIUCS that confront us and then be able to use them advantageously Once m a great whxle we attempt a task too great for us, but oftener we are capable of com pletmg our enterprxses but gxve up too soon Now, we can look back and ask ourselves, What dnd I do to and my educatxon? Are we ashamed of the answer we find? In thns book of memories, we have our actnvxtles placed before us m black and whxte The number of tnmes our names or our pnctures appear on these pages does not de termxne our accompllshments but xs only a small trlbute to us We are the only ones that wall ever truly know how much good we have re cened whxle vue were m school The bxg tnbute wall be wxthm ourselves It may be an ac compllshment so nmportant that nt could not be mentnoned or fully acknowledged, or lt may seem so small and ummportant to others that xt ns over looked The Importance lies wnthm ourselves If we have set out to do somethmg and accomplnshed xt or nf we failed and have been able to admlt our faxlure and try agaxn, then our goal has been reached These expernences of ups and downs, whnch we so many tnmes wntnessed durxng our school years, wxll be the base and foundatnon of our success If we can acqunre the abxllty to ad m1t fanlure, recenve crmcnsm, and strxve for hngher goals nn hlgh school, we shall be able to undertake any task th1t may be ours Thxs abllnty how ewer wall not be lald nn our laps as a grft It vull be found only as a result of hard work, co operatnon wx h teachers and classmates, and the wnll to accomplxsh, over the perlod of txme we spend nn our school ur school has done more than nts part m try mg to help us obtam our goals It has done thls m txmes when we mxght not have recognxzed the value of xts contnbutxons to us, but all those small tasks have developed mto honor and dxs tmctnon whnch we wnll chensh forever We should show our respect, gratltude and apprecnatxon xn return The honor and dnstmctnon we have re cenved wxll remam wxth each one of us as a re mmder of What I owe my school Page nxty on u H . . . .
