CLHSS UJILL We, the class of 1946, being of sane mind and sound body and knowing that slowly but surely we are nearing that goal toward which we have struggled for four years, do hereby dispose of some of our personal belongings and attributes in this our last will and testament. We know that we are the best senior class that R. H. S. has ever had, for Miss Finley herself has said as much. We believe that the school has been benefited by our sojourn here. Our cheerful smiles shone on rainy days. Our love for talking kept things going. Now, however, v'e must give up our favorite desks to other victims. It is time for us to go out into the world and share our good qualities with less fortunate people. Our departure will cause the student body and faculty to shed many tears and we will leave behind us a sadder, though quieter, institution. ARTICLE I: To the faculty we leave our sincere thanks for the thoughtful guidance and kind consideration they have shown us throughout our high school days. ARTICLE II: To the incoming seniors we leave our senior dignity. ARTICLE III: To those who shall succeed us we do humbly will these our talents and idio' syncrasies: I, Allene Beane, after much consideration, do will and bequeath to Ann Kelly my brunette curls. I, John Blalock, reluctantly leave my voice to james Brand so that some day he may make the Grand Ole Opera. I, June Carter, have decided that my love for the library shall go to Alta Clemmons. I, Betty Heeney, will my understanding of foreign languages to just any poor struggling soul who needs it. I, Louise Gibson, leave my love for basketball to Edith Hendrix. I, Aileen Horne, bequeath to Ida Wall Hamer my love for tall, blond, wavy-haired boys. I, Margaret Stutts, regretfully leave my shy ways around boys to Lottie Mae Kanipe. I, Ruth Smith, do will and bequeath my boisterous manner to Dot Reynolds. We, Mary Kirkland and Edith Ussery, reluctantly leave our love for Hamlet to next year's foot- ball team. I, Doris Kelly, do will and bequeath to Annie Ruth Rawls my quiet and studious manner. I, Ruth Ivey, leave my dark curls and variety of hair do's to Ann Garrett. I, Gwen Ingle, leave my cheerful disposition to Martha Alice Currie. I, Mabel Sinclair, regretfully leave my Eve extra pounds to Mary Catherine McDonald. I, Virginia Pickett, have decided that Becky Fowlkes shall receive my faithful old saddle oxfords with the hope that they'l1 carry her through. I, Mary Elizabeth Wentz, do will and bequeath to Warren McKellar my habit of always being tardy. I, Hallie Ruth Melton, after much consideration, do will and bequeath to Helen Garris my dancing ability. I, Polly Williams, reluctantly give my priority on the football squad to Betty Rae Hamer. I, Gladys jones, unselfishly will and bequeath to Cornelia Sykes my quiet, reserved manner. I, Ellen Kelly, reluctantly leave my cool poise and easy manner to Lou Porter. I, Illa Leviner, after much persuasion, do will and bequeath my love of chewing gum to J. T. Gathings. I, Ruby Russell, leave my definite lack of height to Mildred Smith. I, Margaret Turner, do will and bequeath to Lucy Moore my talkative manner. I, Joyce Boggan, have decided that Virginia Watts shall have my natural curls. I, Helen Bolton, will exactly three fand only threej of my favorite paratroopers to Yank Allen. I, Billy Carter, will my wavy hair to Dwight Maples. 24
