The mass placed a blessing on the joint efforts of students and teachers, and it symbolically stressed the importance of religious values in our lives. p Approximately 450 people shared in this p Q mass. Father Weiss, the principle celebrant, gave the homily and Deacon Langdon was the Master of Ceremonies. Roc 22 Rockhurst Week C C hank you, Kansas City was the theme of this year's Rockhurst Week held the first through the eighth of October. Rockhurst Week was designed to show appreciation to the Kansas City area for all its support. Many organizations planned activities to show their appreciation. The Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity along with the help of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity painted a house. The Student Activities Board planted bushes and cleaned up a nearby fountain. The Alpha Phi Omega fraternity also contributed by working at a soup kitchen. Parent's Weekend, which started Rockhurst Week, consisted of a softball game, an ice cream social, a mass, a dinner and a dance. This weekend gave parents an opportunity to become better acquainted with Rockhurst while they were visiting their sons and daughters. khurst Salutes ansas City ,l The next best thing to Van Halen . . .
