. . 4. fl . Q W The graduating class of 1968. RECOGNITION AND PRAIS To start the beginning of the end , the '68 seniors gath- ered for baccalaureate services on May 26. Olive green and yellow, the class colors, were carried out in the decorations in front of a curtain bearing the motto In Ourselves Our Future Lies . Music was provided by the Rockford Senior High Choir in the last appearance with the graduates. The senior sermon, Graduates Plus , given by the Reverend Darrell Kenworthy was an inspiration to all. Rev. Darrell Kenworthy inspired each senior. Pat Ewald and Dan Schultz led the processional. Graduates sing with the choir for the last time.

SX. Mr Roger I-lorn presents the Class of 1968 '68 graduates receive their diplomas, The night every senior anxiously awaits arrived on May 29 for the Class of '68, Commencement was held in the gym, filled to capacity, for the graduates. Student speakers were chosen by the faculty. Theresa Frascht spoke on Travel Route '68,', Susan Koehler on Involvement Leads to Self- ldentity , Art Lines on The Spirit of Inquiryn, and Connie Ward on Youth Are the Hope of Tomorrow . Danforth winners, Linda Geilenfeld and Richard Clifton, were award- ed a book entitled I Dare You , and the top 10 graduates were congratulated. Special music was provided by the Chamber Singers with Battle Hymn of the Republic and by the Concert Band with Born Free? The exercises were completed by the awarding of diplomas by Mr. Harold Trettin, President of the School Board. Eighty-nine new graduates recessed in a night which will be long-remembered by all of them. RTI
