SOCIAL STUDIES-The purpose of social science depart- ment IS to give the student a better understanding of the so- cial world in which he lives. Psychology, a semester course, gives RSH students an understanding of behavior patterns an social problems. The aims of the other courses offered by they department are to give a knowledge of conflicts in the politi cal and economic situations our world faces today. These courses-American history, government, world history and economics-prepare each student to live a more active and understanding life. GUIDANCE-The guidance counselor, Mr. David Miller, guides the student with their personal problems and helps th students plan for their future careers. Biology is the branch of knowledge concerning the treatment ofliv- ing organisms. Chemistry involves the composition of substances and the transformations which they undergo. Physics pertains to the laws of nature and material devel- opment. These subjects are all of basic importance to stu- dent knowledge and development.
