JUDGING ILAM By scorlng top honor at the DiSfT1C' Meet in Pullman, the Rockford F b.h, crop judnlng +eam won first place in a serlcs of +hree contests The three were held at Rockford, Clarkston and Pullman. These contes+s were held to encourage efficiency in grading, identlfication, and Judglng of grains, weeds, grasses, and legumes A plaque was presented to them for the fourth O0HS6OU+lV6 year. Rockford won the plaque the first year 1n 1942, Cheney in 1946, ard Rockford for the last four years, making a total of five contests. The three on the winning team were Ivan Willmschen, Neil Davey and Donald Young Also on the crop judging team for 1947 were George Schaaf, Herbert Ohlson and Gene Turner. S+ock Judglng, glaln judglng, and potato judglng teams are sent from Rockford to various con+es+s The JUDIOT Llvestock show at the Old Uh1OD Stock Yards, in Spokane, was attended by ROCK1OId F.F.A. boys Twenty n1ne hogs and fifteen calves entered from R H S sold tor 86,000 Alfred Sllnkard won Grand Champion on H18 Chester Whltc and also Grand Ghamplon cn his pen of f1ve hfgs, This was the largest Junior Livestock Show in the w rld It was als the larvest sale ever held 1n the Pacific Northwest. . 2 Q ..
