We saxled into our Freshmen year wxth the ferocxty of a bulldog, the vanxty of a peacock, and the braxns of a anat. Durxng our Freshmen year, not much was accomplxshed except our reallzlng that we were very green and very, very dumb we learned quxckly I xt took four yearsl thatwe knew nothrng, never would know anxth1rg and as candrdates for an lntellxgent person, were out Our actxvrtxes dur1ng the Freshmen year xncluded partxes an all hxgh play and a llttle athletxcs In our Sophomore year, we found we knew less than the year before and that we were hopeless cases for a psychopa thxc ward By thrs tlme two boys who have been athletes all durxng therr hxgh school years, had begun to wear off the false shrne of a freshmen and show the true glnnt of a soph omore athlete Stxll our actxvxtxes rncluded nothxng more than an oc casxonal party However, during our Junxor year we were kept busy sbmnxng up the senxor coat of armor for their en trance xnto the cruel, cruel world we found that a JUHLOT xs merely a steppxng stone and a bogtw1per for a senxor Thts aroused our xre for a txme and we consldered gxvxng up the Shlp, but our bulldog ferocxty held us to rt, so we clamped our teeth and held txght Cmr spxrxts were brxght ened when we saw the class of next year's junxors upon whom we could vent our anger Also durxng our Junxor year we put on a class play whrch was a great success Our Senxor year was entered upon wxth many happy smxles and shouts of Joy Thxs was to be our supreme moment were fooled Each of us had a dxfferent idea for runnlng the hxgh school, but none of us accomplrshed thls end were xnformed that we were chzldxsh, 1gnorant, and rude Durxng the txme we were practlsxng for our play we found our reputatxon for learnxnq to be very bad Also we found that we were not to be m1S59d at all In fact the next class of xn a method bQflff1hQ a senxor, we quretly and softly made preparatxons for our try at llfe To S1nk or Swxn , to o or Dre , we bxd farewell to Rockford Hxgh School 1- rx The senxors have already purchased therr announce ments They are to be on wbrte paper wrth a blue E1 W 4: rocket representlng the school paper through the hx, mxddle The class purchased class rxngs and pxns earlxer rn the year The Qenxor class xs puttlng out the annual wrth the help of MISS Nellsen the commercxal teacher CLASS FLOWER Red Rose CLAoS COLOR Blue and Bronze CLASQ MCHTO Learn to oo by Dorng .
