In a huge football shaped float the honored queen, Jeanne Houy, and her attendants, Marilyn Baxter and Nancy Allison, passed in front of a cheering crowd. The queen was presented a beautiful bouquet of red roses by Stu- dent Council president, Bill Laude. From their place atop the Hoat, the royalty watched the outstanding Indiana Marching 100 demonstrate their famous formations while filling the stadium with reverberating strains of music. After watching the fighting E-Rabs tie up a rugged game with Joliet, 19-19, the queen and her attendants were trans- ported to East with their escorts, all of whom were members of Student Coun- cil. A gym gaily decorated with a sports theme greeted the enthusiastic fans who trouped through the hilltop doors to participate in the long anticipated home- coming dance. The queen and her court reigned over the informal dnce which climaxed the festivities of East's homecoming. ,I i
