THE GREAT HPUMPKIN INClDENT October 28th was the day that the seniors chose to subject the campus to their annual Halloween prank. Aided by a frothy brew, the pumpkin carving started promptly at 9:00 PM. The plan was to strategically relocate the creations to various parts of the campus without being caught by Security. The seniors courageously began their mission with target number one including Starr Science Building, Clark Arts Center, and Seaver Gym. A group of seniors were apprehended by Securi- ty while attempting to scale the walls of Seaver. With a lot of fast talk, this group was able to walk away without any repremanding. As one Security Officer put it, We have the pumpkin incident under control. The festivities proceeded along without any further incidents until the seniors learned that two of their classmates were trapped in Clark Arts Center. The seniors commandeered a security van and attempted to rescue the trapped seniors, but were unsuccessful. Security also attempted to find these students, but they managed to escape and safely returned back to Pumpkin Headquarters in Kent Center. The final stretch of the mission dealt with the hanging of the pumpkin on the flag pole. As several seniors stared in awe, the Great Pumpkin was raised to heights un- seen by anyone before. Security added to the moment by spotlighting the Great Pumpkin.
