FRESHMEN HIT ROCKF ORD COLLEGE Freshmen orientation- the first big step of the great experience called college. This year the big event was the weekend of .luly 19, 1985, and the class of '89 was born. The weekend was spent taking tests, meeting new people, and planning for the fall semester. There were several highlights of the weekend, including the social hour hosted by the shadows and RA's Friday, and the presentation of Marne along with the orientation dance Saturday. Orientation was the first taste of college for the Freshmen. lt gave them the opportunity to meet the people they will go through college with. Everyone did an excellent job of welcoming the new students to Rockford College.
