An International Studies course was introduced to prepare students to study on the London campus. Administrative offices previously located in Starr were relocated to Burpee moving the Recensio, Regent Tribune, WRCR, and Student Government offices to Lang. The Lion's Den served as a snack bar, meeting place for campus and town students alike. We participated in a variety of social and fundraising activities. Our money making endeavors included selling raffles for a Rolling-R cake, selling bundles of kisses for Sweetest Day, and attempting to sponsor the first annual Trivial Pursuit Party. We also enjoyed many fun times together including: bowling, throwing the yearly Party on the Patio party, dressing up as Christmas Cand winning a 10-foot banana split for our effortsb, attending a champagne party before finals, getting together for a weiner roast in Kent Center to wrap- up Secret Santa activities, and winning all kinds of l.M. events Cthanks to Carolyn's backward run in flag footballlb. Some of the people who helped make all of these activities possible are our officers: Margie Horejs, President: Debbie Svoboda, Vice President: Linda Vitalo, Secretary: Jo- animal Kozak, Treasurer: Diane Roche, Senator: and Liney Hallsdorsdottir and Cindy Tyler, l.M. representatives. Floor Officers were: Rich McMullen - President, Doug Dillman - Vice President, Chris Clay - Secretary, Tim Willie Williams - Treasurer, and Randy Klipstein - Senator. The floor was very diverse with a variety of interests of floor members and involvement in the arts, athletics, and academics. Within the first few months, floor sweatshirts were designed and ordered and the generic S-I-X logo was soon recognized all over campus. Some interesting spontaneous events included: baking brownies at 2:30 a.m., rearranging rooms simultaneously, writing graffiti in the bathroom stalls, eating meals together, playing tennis and ping-pong in the lounge, going on Toys- R-Us ventures, roller skating in the hall, and face painting. The Poms also performed routines to Foot- loose, Neutron Dance and The Glamorous Life. This year's captain was lleta Joseph. She was assist- ed by co-captain Michelle Gearhart and secretary Dawn Neukirch. The most improved player was Cori Cerniglia and the rookies of the year were Heidi Mus- selman and Elizabeth Tourlentes. 108 Pom Pons if iii CHEERLEADERS The cheerleading season began on a shaky note.
