In addition to annual dances and movies, Social Board often introduces new activities, such as Twerp Week, a social and economic upheaval benefiting the male class, and ending in a proletarian-type orgy, the Sadie Hawkins Dance. 56 Representatives from all four classes comprise the board that plans the major social functions of the year, including the Fall Informal, Winter Week-end, and the June Prom. SCCIAL BOARD PRESENTS ORIENTATION On Sunday, September 11, the new Freshman class stormed into the courtyard and began what was for some a rather bewildering first day. V A week of rigorous testing and registration followed. This was designed to measure the stu- dent's abilities and help guide him in his major interests. The next few weeks were devoted to orienting the Freshmen to the social life at R. C. Dances, beanies, and the annual tug-of-war highlighted this phase of freshman life. A new activity, 4'Help Week,', was also in- cluded. During this period, Freshmen offered their individual services to several charitable in- stitutions. The Saturday of this week was given to a general clean-up of the new campus. Ll- f- Sophomore men, far, pull for a victory during annual tug-of-war.
