Trulen, Tutt Lindquist, Young, Gustavson, Barbagallo, Carson, Vesely, Baily, von Loewe. FRONT ROW: Hoer ner, Geller, Cobb, Cuson. Bye, Swan, Shnurer, Bond, Carlson. What was left of our class returned in September and we started the year off with a bang by electing loan Bye as president of our class. After senior day, we iacketless juniors marched and marched with the traditional ivy in our hair. Our class was depleted but we were glad to greet Sue Williams, Gerry Swan, Bev Stein, Sue Carlson, Christiane Dumbard, Olga Zarnari, Sally Chabucos, and Lillian Vesely. Soon everyone was back in the swing of exams, papers, getting in those last few major hours and carrying all those extra-curricular activities, tdates, dates, and more datesl. Our class certainly didn't outshine the other classes in basketball or hockey, but we did try!! Enthusiasm wasn't lacking, but participants were it seemed. How sad we were all to see those seniors leaving but it was certainly a feeling oi accomplishment to take over the senior role. Now we have the worries ot comprehensives.

Harlowe, Ianson, Weissenbumer, Achilli. FRONT ROW: Brown, Twomey, Quitno, Steven, Bell. Cox, Chrisinger. It was fun to be back! And those awful upperclassmen could no longer sing about the greenness of the ireshies. Now they wished we'd be drowned in turpentine! Our class had reduced considerably since our first meeting in fall of '52. Two of our freshman class officers failed to return, several others were lost through engagements, one even going as far as Germany. Yes, our original class membership dropped, but it was given a push upward again by the arrival of some new sophs, both town and dorm residents. We welcomed into our midst Edie Dvmond, Lee Currier, Geri Brown, Gwen Wait, and of course, Bert Rockey. And who could forget our losing Kati at the end of the first semester? It wasn't real until we heard her say, I do. We didn't do too well in basketball, but looked better during volleyball season. We surprised the school by giving them a new kind of Sophomore Day. We had to finally declare a major, and take those traditional Sophomore Tests. Lastly, we ended the first half of our college career under President Cheek, and so had to look elsewhere for further guidance and inspiration.
