You made the ob- servation that it really wasn't terribly hard to get up at the craclc ol dawn iF it was to hang greens and, incidentally, walce up everybody else with your caroling. And the wassail parties in Middle l-lall helped to heap on the Christmas spirit, so that by the time you got home, you infected your whole Family with the spirit of the season. By the First oF the new year, you had your own class oFFicers and probably were an active member oi -lolo, FQF, AA, and SGA. Maybe you wrote For the Vanguard, or swam in the Water Ballet, or danced in Qrchesis. The word study toolc on new signiFicance during moratorium and exam weelc. You consumed huge quantities oF French verbs and graham craclcers and millc, and you were sure that everything that you had learned would evaporate once you started talang the exam. You survived, though, and suddenly began thinking, 'Fmy how time has Flown, it seems just yester- day that-.H And then you were striclcen with acute spring Fever any time From january on. But you really lcnew that you were a part oF Rockford on Freshman Day.
